100 Learners’ Voices:Learning for Democracy

Edinburgh: 27th September – 1st December 2008, 19:00PM.

Learners and politicians will come together to discuss the important issues for adult learners in 2008 at this one day event. Democracy and learning are important to the national adult learners forum and they are seeking to explore the:

Rights of adult learners

Responsibilities for adult learning

Resources made available for adult learning

My Family My Culture

Assembly rooms: 27th September – 31st October 2008, 14:00PM.

The Launch of Family Learning month takes place on Sunday 5 October at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow.

The event is aimed at families themselves and will offer a chance for parents and children to take part in the creative and sporting workshops offered.

Family Learning Month is a UK-wide campaign which seeks to highlight the importance and potential of family learning. Strengthening communities and creating more opportunities for families to learn together by encouraging organisations to offer a range of dedicated family learning events during the campaign weeks.
