Community Radio Celebration of ALW
Scottish Youth theatre: 20th May 2008, 11:00AM–15:00PM.
Community Radio is a new tier of very local or community of interest, not-for-profit (or not profit distributing) radio. It is different from, and complementary to, existing independent local radio and involves people working together from a variety of different backgrounds.
Community radio demonstrates potential benefits for addressing issues of social inclusion, local education, training and experience, widening access for communities to develop skills and create broadcasting opportunities relevant to local communities.
We are hosting an event with the SCBN to celebrate the success of community radio on Tuesday 20 May 2008 in the Scottish Youth Theatre, Glasgow.
