SALP is offering a free training programme for learners. 

The dates are listed below. 

4 July                       Introduction to Parliament

21 August          Committees and what they do

28 August                Learning about Parliament

11 September            Effective Communicating

Register today to enhance your skills and learn about the new structures in place.

This offer is available to anyone living in Scotland.  Places are limited and will be allocated on a 'first in first served' basis.

Book Festival - 18 August 2007

Charlotte Square: 18th August 2007, 10:30AM–11:30AM.

Two events were held on Saturday the 18th August 2007, in Edinburgh's Charlotte Square as part of the International Book Festival.

*The day event (10.30am), celebrates the work of Nick Butterworth who will teach parents from across Scotland how to bring stories alive for their children. 

SALP had 30 free tickets to give away for our 2007 Book festival event.

*The evening event (6.30pm), Talking 'bout my generation showcased the work of older learners, in association with SALP and the National Theatre of Scotland. 

An enjoyable evening was had by all.
