1000 learners shared their opinions with Political candidates at South Hall, Pollock Halls, in Edinburgh.
12pm-5pm, followed by a drinks reception till 6pm.
Scotland: Creative Nation
Edinburgh: 25th – 27th February 2007, 11:00AM.
We are pleased to announce that Scotland: Creative Nation, cultural summit, will take place at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, 25-27 February 2008.This unique three-day summit will be a platform for exploration, discussion, and debate of pertinent issues in the context of the development of Creative Scotland.

Nationwide: 19th May 2007, 10:00AM–15:00PM.
Our interactive launch events had a media literacy focus this year.
They were held at Shopping Centres across Scotland from 10am-1pm on Saturday the 19th May 2007 at the following locations:
- Irvine Riversgate Shopping Centre, Irvine A12 8EH
- Kirkcaldy Kingdom Shopping Centre Fife KY7 5NW
- Livingston Almondvale Shopping Centre, Livingston EH54 6HR

Family Learning Week, launch 2007
Dynamic Earth: 22nd June 2007, 13:00PM–15:00PM.
Family learning Day took place on Friday 22 June 2007. Families from across Scotland got fully involved making boats for their Learning Journeys. Refreshments and art supplies were provided.

Book Festival - 18 August 2007
Charlotte Square: 18th August 2007, 10:30AM–11:30AM.
Two events were held on Saturday the 18th August 2007, in Edinburgh's Charlotte Square as part of the International Book Festival.
*The day event (10.30am), celebrates the work of Nick Butterworth who will teach parents from across Scotland how to bring stories alive for their children.
SALP had 30 free tickets to give away for our 2007 Book festival event.
*The evening event (6.30pm), Talking 'bout my generation showcased the work of older learners, in association with SALP and the National Theatre of Scotland.
An enjoyable evening was had by all.
Media Literacy Event - 5 September 2007
Scottish Youth theatre: 5th September 2007, 13:00PM–16:00PM.
SALP invites practitioners to attend a Media literacy event (download details here) at the Scottish Youth Theatre in Glasgow.

One Hour A Day for Learning encourages and challenges you to give learning a go.
One Hour A Day is all it takes and what a difference it makes!
Throughout the campaign week, museums, galleries, local history groups and other organisations will highlight the learning opportunities they have to offer. Events include:
· The Learning Journey-opportunities to learn while traveling to work
· School challenges and home work sessions
· Reading and writing together.

Older learners event - 12 November 2007

SALP
invited older learners to an event at the Roxburghe Hotel in Edinburgh.
We are working with those over 50 who require support and encouragement to re-enter learning in order to progress to employment, take up a new hobby or enhance quality of life.
